Academic Research
A summary of my research work in Earth Sciences.
Present
Lithosphere Structure in Tibet
Evaluating contradicting lithospheric models through an automated Python pipeline. I clip global tomography datasets, override shallow crustal densities with CRUST1.0, and run instantaneous Stokes flow solves in ASPECT.
Past
Joint Inversion Modeling
Integrated a Gravity Anomaly module into the BayHunter MCMC framework. By using a non-linear empirical relationship for Vp and Vs, the goal was to iterate density parameters directly into surface wave and receiver function inversions.
Ambient Noise Tomography
Processed passive seismic data from wireless campus geophones. By stacking cross-correlations and analyzing azimuth energy distributions, we mapped local surface velocities and traced primary noise to ongoing traffic.
Irshalwadi Landslide Simulation
Simulated the devastating 2023 Irshalwadi landslide using RAMMS DebrisFlow. Utilized pre-event DEM scaling and Google Earth imagery to accurately derive the local Voellmy friction parameters (µ and ξ) and flow velocities.
